The Sing For Joy radio program, produced by St. Olaf College, has a simple mission: to explore the weekly themes of Christian worship by providing the best in sacred choral music and thoughtful commentary. The musical performances eloquently "do the talking," while the concise remarks from host Rev. Alexandra M. Jacob illuminate the meaning of the texts.

Becca Beam served as audio engineer and editor of the Sing For Joy program from November 2018–July 2024, producing nearly 300 episodes. A small selection of episodes are shown below; all episodes are available to stream via the program archives.

Christmas Special 2022

During this season of beauty and gift-giving, we receive a gift of musical beauty for both heart and mind - highlights from the 109th annual Christmas Festival Concert at St. Olaf College. This year's theme is Love Divine. The Sing For Joy radio program is pleased to share this gift of music with you this season.

Seventh Sunday of Easter (Year C)

The Christian Church remembers the Ascension of Christ not as a story of Jesus vanishing, but a story of Jesus ascending to an eternal throne. So farewell songs are not the order of the day; songs of majesty and celebration are. You'll hear that grand music -- and be introduced to a new program host -- on the next Sing For Joy.
